本作はイタリアのコミック作家・小説家のTiziano Sclavi原作小説を基にしている。（同著者のホラーコミック「Dylan Dog」も大まかなベースになっているそう）
De Sicaは作品のトーンを完璧に捉え、不気味さと日常性の狭間を巧みに行き来しながら、決して不自然さを感じさせない。電子的なグルーヴとダークジャズの織り成す暗黒の雰囲気。驚異のゴシック・ホラー・サウンドトラック。インサート付。
