公民権運動時代のアメリカはグリーンズボロ、60年代に高校教師だったWalter Grady はこの自分のミドルネーム"Lincon"から取ったLinco Recordsの他に、Cobra Records、 Witch's Brew、 Graytom Records、Grayslakなど、いくつかのレーベルを運営して、町の人々、ホームカミング・クイーン（地元のお祭りで選出されるミスコンに近いもの）、キャンパスの人気者などを集め、たくさんのグループをプロデュース。地元発でありながら革命的な輝きを放つサウンドを具現化した。本作には公民権運動発祥の地から生まれたメロディックなマイルストーンを収録している。
